What Is an Order Block, the Conditions for a Strong Order Block, and When Do We Rely on It?
An order block, simply, is a demand or supply zone.
In this video you’ll find me explaining it in detail for beginners—watch it and follow along with the explanation so you can identify the strong order block.

what are the conditions for an order block’s strength and relying on it instead of ignoring it
They are 5 conditions as shown in the picture 🫡👌

1️⃣ - It should be in the same general direction or the same internal direction, not against the direction (we determine the direction through market structure).
2️⃣ - It should be a liquidity sweep, or at least there shouldn’t be liquidity above it or below it that price will seek to go take... meaning if the trend is bullish and we’re identifying a bullish order block, then avoid having liquidity below this order block.
And if the trend is bearish and we’re identifying a bearish order block, then avoid having liquidity above this order block.
As we explained in the liquidity that we explained before:
And if the trend is bearish and we’re identifying a bearish order block, then avoid having liquidity above this order block.
As we explained in the liquidity that we explained before:
3️⃣ - The order block candle should have caused an FVG after it and made a new high or a new low depending on the direction.
4️⃣ - Price shouldn’t be very far or very close to price.. meaning there shouldn’t be a big distance or many candles between the current price and the order block, like the picture shown in our friend’s question.
5️⃣ - The order block shouldn’t be located in a wave that has multiple order blocks.. and if there is a wave with more than one order block, it’s better to choose the last order block; otherwise, it may be preferable not to choose any order block among them.
Finally, but not least, the order block is not the only thing we trade with. 🫤🫤
We combine it with liquidity and with market structure so we can trade correctly, so just because you learned how to identify the order block doesn’t mean you can enter a trade directly from it; your analysis must be based on combining several other concepts so you can reach a correct SETUP that you enter and exit with.
